Shifting the Paradigm

It‘s the plaintive wail of users forced to learn the latest technology or a new way of doing things. Punch cards gave way to text-based systems (like CP/M and DOS), which fell to Windows and Internet browsers. Now paper‘s era as the medium of choice for communication is dwindling. Delivery of paper-based documents is too slow, even with the advent of overnight-delivery services. Who wants to wait till tomorrow? Although technology-in the form of electronic document management systems (EDMSs)-is a faster, better way to share information, technology can‘t go it alone.
