When Cars Collide

Monday, November 15th, 1999 Fraud Liability Technology

When was the last time you had a medical check-up? Beleive it or not, for many people it was the last time they were involved in an automobile collision. For some, an injury claim is a good way to get a free checkup, compliments of their auto insurer or the insurer of the other driver. With the high cost of medical treatment in the U.S., many people look at this as a form of socialized medicine, not insurance fraud. And while you can sympathize with people trying to get a little more treatment for themselves, most people can‘t blame the insurers when they reject claims made for injuries that are not consistent with the accident reports filed by the police or the insured.
