Veteran NFL wide receiver Randall Cobb and his family recently survived a house fire in their Green Hills neighborhood home in Nashville, Tennessee. The fire, which started around 11 p.m. CDT on Tuesday, began in the garage and quickly spread. The Nashville Fire Department arrived promptly and managed to extinguish the flames, but not before the fire caused extensive damage to the property, including an electric vehicle.
Cobb shared images of the fire’s aftermath on social media, expressing gratitude for his family’s safety and the efforts of the Nashville Fire Department. Despite losing much of their property, Cobb emphasized that their health and well-being are paramount. His wife, Aiyda, confirmed that the fire was caused by a malfunctioning Tesla charger, which led to a quick evacuation with only the clothes on their backs.
The community has rallied around the Cobb family, providing temporary housing and support. Cobb, originally from Tennessee, has had a notable NFL career, including long stints with the Green Bay Packers and a recent season with the New York Jets. Currently a free agent, Cobb’s focus remains on his family’s recovery and their next steps following this life-altering event.
