In the aftermath of Hurricane Francine, Louisiana residents are facing widespread destruction from powerful winds and severe flooding.

The storm, which brought winds up to 100 mph and storm surges of 5 to 7 feet, caused significant damage in coastal communities like Cocodrie and inland areas such as Morgan City. Residents are now working to clear debris and assess property damage, including toppled trees, damaged roofs, and flooded streets.

In Jefferson Parish, authorities continue to warn of post-storm dangers, even as the floodwaters slowly recede. The extensive damage will require ongoing cleanup efforts as the region recovers from Francine’s impact.
