Major Auto Theft Ring Exposed In Jefferson Parish, Louisiana
A Jefferson Parish grand jury indicted 13 men accused of running a large-scale auto theft ring with the help of an unnamed former elected official. The group operated for seven years, targeting mostly the East and West Banks of Jefferson Parish and was responsible for about 32 percent of the vehicle thefts in the parish, according to court records.

Dozens Involved In Auto Insurance Fraud Ring Arrested In California
In one of the largest arrest operations in Fresno history, detectives from the California Department of Insurance fanned out across the valley and southland areas to arrest more than two dozen people on multiple felony counts of insurance fraud for allegedly staging auto collisions to scam more than four insurance companies out of tens of thousands of dollars.

A 58-year-old Hatfield Borough man is facing three felony criminal counts for alleged insurance fraud after Montgomery County authorities said he was seen playing drums with his band despite claiming he could barely lift his arms after a purported injury for which he was receiving regular workers compensation payments, court documents indicate.
