A catastrophe report has found that the US re/insurance sector is on the hook for more than half of the total economic loss in April resulting from severe convective weather such as thunderstorms and tornados.

A beachside house on a private road near Wingaersheek Beach in Gloucester was completely destroyed by an intense two-alarm fire that broke out Saturday night, injuring a firefighter and igniting surrounding trees and grass, authorities said.
